Quick Update |Pre-Final Exams|

The only thing that I liked about being an engineering student of IPU is that they are very lazy in terms of checking our answer sheets which used to give us time to actually understand/realize what actually happened in those exams. But recently, this lazy behavior backfired us all (literally).

It has been more than 8 months since the pandemic has hit the world. Everyone knew that this pandemic is not going soon and will take more than one or two years to come. Yet, our great university without taking any proper decision on how could exams be taken, thought of not caring about it then.

Institutions like IIT or DTU, decided that exams of final years students(FYS) can be taken online for the convenience of their students, unlike IPU. IPU has decided to take offline examinations of the FYS in the month of September when the cases shooting daily in India are 90k+.

The weirdest thing about these offline exams is that we(the students) are requested to go to our respective colleges and give our exams which is even more dangerous as it is in the one of the most dangerous and affected places currently.

I am scared less for myself and more for my family as I do not want to be the carrier that brings the virus home and infect anyone around me. The main IPU decision makers are sitting on their seats who are ignoring all the consequences and taking this decision of calling the students to give the examinations.

We have been giving our semester exams for the past 4 years and they think we do not wish to give the final year semester exams just for fun. Anyway, now what has been decided will remain decided and we have no choice but to go and give our offline exams. I hope we all remain safe and the number of cases decrease by the end of this year. Being a little lenient is what we think our teachers will be.

PEACE.
